Getting Here (and Away)
There are Qantas flights direct to Bendigo Airport from Sydney. You can find out more on the airport here: https://www.bendigo.vic.gov.au/Services/Bendigo-Airport
From Melbourne airport, there is a handy shuttle bus service to Bendigo train station: https://bendigoairportservice.com.au/timetables/
V-Line Trains run regularly from Melbourne to Bendigo. This takes between 1.5-2 hours. For Bendigo train timetables, fares, maps and travel information visit the V/Line website or phone V/Line on 1800 800 007.
The estimated time travelling by car from Melbourne to Bendigo is 90 minutes and via the Calder Freeway (M79).
Getting around Bendigo
As in Melbourne, to travel on public transport in Bendigo you will need a MYKI card. These cards are available at train stations and some convenience shops. You need to swipe in and out each time you travel. Read morehttps://www.ptv.vic.gov.au/
For our sessions at La Trobe University campus (Friday):
From Bendigo train station (and from stops in the city), there are regular buses to the university:
Route 63 runs Monday-Friday every half an hour and takes approximately 15 minutes (https://www.ptv.vic.gov.au/route/13121/63-bendigo-hospital-la-trobe-university-via-bendigo-station/ ) This bus runs via View Street.
Route 62 runs Monday-Sunday every hour and takes 12 minutes.
Route 61 also serves the university (Monday to Sunday) but takes a little longer – 24 minutes.
For our Saturday and Sunday sessions, you will need to travel to View Street in Bendigo CBD:
If you are staying close to campus, the No.63 bus travels from the university to View Street.
If you are in the city, you can walk from Bendigo Railway Station to conference venues on View Street, via Mitchell Street, in approximately 15 minutes.
Buses also run from Bendigo Railway Station to View Street (look for bus number 50, 52, 53, 54 or 55).

Taxis: (phone: 131 008) and Uber (via Uber App) operate in Bendigo. Sheba also operates in Bendigo.

In town:
Off-street (ticketed) car parking is available at the Rosalind Park car park, behind The Capital Theatre and the Gallery. Entry is at View and Rowan streets. There are several short-term on-street carparks along View, Rowan and Mackenzie streets. These fill up quickly, especially on busy days.
